What Is Dental Implant Treatment?
Tooth loss is more than an aesthetic concern. Over years it leads to jaw bone resorption, drift of neighboring teeth, and reduced chewing function. Dental implants stop this cascade with a permanent, near-natural solution.
What is an implant?
A titanium surgical screw is placed into the jawbone, where it fuses with bone (osseointegration). This screw provides a stable foundation for a crown or prosthesis.
Modern implants have 3 components:
- Implant body — titanium screw (in bone)
- Abutment — connector
- Top structure — zirconium crown, porcelain, or hybrid material
The digital planning difference
At Nano Dental, implant surgery is based not on assumption but on 3D Cone Beam CT data:
- Bone density and volume measured to the millimeter
- Distance to nerves and sinus cavity precisely visible
- Surgical guide pre-positions the screw
- Shorter surgery, less tissue trauma
Process (5-7 day plan)
| Stage | Duration |
|---|---|
| 1. Examination + 3D tomography + plan | 1 day |
| 2. Bone grafting (if needed) | 1 day |
| 3. Implant surgery | 1-2 hours |
| 4. Osseointegration (waiting) | 2-4 months |
| 5. Crown placement | 1 day |
Who’s a candidate?
✓ Single tooth loss or partial edentulism ✓ Full edentulism (with All-on-Four) ✓ Adequate bone density (graft if not) ✓ Non-smokers or those who can quit (smoking impedes osseointegration)
