Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

The treatment now known as oral and maxillofacial surgery has its roots in the oral surgery of the early 20th century. Its scope has expanded since the 1980s, gaining a wide range of applications — from correcting head, neck and facial injuries after accidents, treating head and neck cancers, surgically correcting poorly developed jaws, to repairing cleft lip and palate in infants and children.

Impacted wisdom tooth surgery: The most commonly performed oral surgery procedure. Third molars that fail to fully erupt in the jaw can cause pain, infection and crowding; they are removed under local anesthesia with digital tomography planning.

Cyst and tumor surgery: Removal of benign cysts and tumors that form in the jawbone, with histopathological follow-up.

Jaw surgery (Orthognathic): Correction of skeletal discrepancies such as upper-lower jaw mismatch, open bite, and crossbite, performed together with orthodontic treatment. Delivers both functional and aesthetic results.

Pre-implant surgery: Sinus lifting and bone grafting — procedures that prepare the foundation for implants when there is insufficient bone.

All surgical procedures are performed under sterile operating room conditions, with digital planning (CBCT), by surgeons specialized in the field. Procedures are completed under local anesthesia in a single session.
